A pup named Hero lives with his owner on the streets. His owner loved him very much but felt he couldn’t adequately care for Hero. He handed him to a rescue organisation in California. Due to overcrowding, pets are regularly taken up to British Columbia. Hero was one of the lucky dogs chosen so he could find his everlasting family.

Sarah and her husband heard about Hero, and Sarah, who works with the homeless, felt this may just be fate. The pair went to see the pup and Sarah knew instantly she wanted him but played it off casually to her husband so she didn’t influence his decision. But as soon as Sarah admitted that she loves him and wants him so desperately, her husband joined in right after and claimed he felt the exact same way.

Now that Hero found the ideal parents, it was time to move to his everlasting home. Sarah describes Hero as a “velvety bag of rocks” because he’s powerful and sturdy yet his skin squishes and folds in unexpected places. Hero is lovely! And his parents are naturally infatuated with him.

Hero dislikes exercise of any type. He’ll go for a stroll and then wants to go right back in the house. Sarah feels this may be because he spent so much of his time outside that his house is now the most comfortable location for him.

The beautiful pup is attached to his humans on a whole other level. When Hero is terrified or not feeling well, he walks into the bathroom and lies on the bath mat. That’s his safe zone. Sarah came home one day and she was having a tough time. Hero actually went into the bathroom and dragged the bath mat over to her so she could feel comfortable. It was fantastic.
