Otis & Clementine’s Books and Coffee is located in Nova Scotia, Canada. The people who visit this bookstore not only go there to read or have a cup of coffee. They also come to the bookstore to have a look at and play with the adorable kittens there. Inside the shop, you will observe kittens playing around and even napping next to books. You are given the opportunity to provide these innocent souls with a forever home. After all, nothing can go wrong when you have coffee, books, and cats all in the same place. Ellen Helmke is the proud owner of this fine establishment. The kittens living in the bookstore are those that are given by the South Paw Conservation Nova Scotia rescue group. “All the kittens are in and out fairly quickly, as they are adopted,” Helmke expressed.

However, one cannot pick a kitten and take the creature home instantly since the process is not that simple. Those who want to adopt a kitten have to pay the adoption fee covers various expenses such as medical expenses. The individuals who are keen on adopting a kitten also have to provide references before they can bring a kitten home. So far more than 30 cats have been adopted from Otis & Clementine’s Books and Coffee.

“People come here specifically to see the cats, and then some people just wander in to look at books and discover there are kittens. Either way, the response has been really great—I mean, who doesn’t love kittens, right?” conveyed Helmke.
