Woman Saves The Cat That Everyone Said Couldn’t Be Adopted

Jon Snow was discovered alone in an alleyway in South Korea, fending for his life. He was hungry, thirsty, and suffering from an upper respiratory illness. Except for one individual, no one believed Jon Snow would make it.

Rachel Brown had decided she wanted to adopt a cat and had spent hours combing through lists of all the animals in death shelters around the country. She knew right away that Jon Snow was the one for her when she met him.

Rachel Brown had decided she wanted to adopt a cat and had spent hours combing through lists of all the animals in death shelters around the country. She knew right away that Jon Snow was the one for her when she met him.

Brown told The Dodo, “He was obviously in extremely horrible health, but I couldn’t get him out of my brain.”

Brown had her boyfriend phone the shelter to see whether Jon Snow was still there. Brown’s boyfriend was told by the shelter owner that the cat was very sick, wasn’t eating, and wouldn’t make it.

“He basically told my partner that it wasn’t worth it for me to adopt him,” Brown claimed. “It would be too costly. But I couldn’t leave him there; I desperately wanted to assist him, so I did.”

When Brown arrived at the shelter to pick up Jon Snow, she found him hunched over in an uncomfortable wire cage, a plate of untouched food in front of him. He looked so helpless, and in desperate need of a miracle.

She filled out the paperwork as quickly as she could and immediately rushed him home to take him to the emergency vet.

Jon Snow was still feeble on the way there, but he managed to muster enough energy to express his gratitude to his new mother for giving him a chance.

“I could see he still had a fight in him because he tried to stand up and walk out of his carrier,” Brown added. “He meowed and stared at me when he couldn’t see me through the mesh.”

Doctors told Brown the same thing the shelter owner had informed him when they arrived at the emergency vet. They proposed that Jon Snow be put down since, even with therapy, he was unlikely to survive. Jon Snow was diagnosed with feline coronavirus (FCoV) and feline herpesvirus, among other diseases (FHV). He also developed feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), which is generally lethal, according to the vets.

Brown, on the other hand, refused to listen. Jon Snow was admitted to the hospital, where he began his therapy.

Every day, Brown made a 30-minute train journey back and forth to Jon Snow’s hospital. Despite his illness, Jon Snow appeared to be getting better by the day. All of his tests came back normal on his sixth day in the hospital. It was the first time the veterinarians had ever seen anything like it. Jon Snow had managed to survive.

Brown saved a life because she opted to take a risk on Jon Snow.

Jon Snow is presently in perfect health. He’s full of energy, enjoys playing, and follows his new mother around everywhere she goes.

Brown said, “He’s the finest cat.” “He has a really distinct personality. He’s insane; he sprints about like a lunatic and speeds up to the top of his cat tower.”

Every night, he sleeps on her pillow and tells her how thankful he is that she saved him.

Brown stated, “I’m very blessed by him.” “He makes everything in my life a million times better.”
